Wailers
looking strong...
A
host of Newcastle Falcons players have been named in
the KooGa Wailers squad for next weekend's Newquay Surf
Sevens. The tournament forms part of the Falcons' preparations
for the Middlesex Sevens, which they won for the first
time in the club's history last season. Falcons junior
academy manager Mark Laycock will again coach the Wailers,
stating: “We are taking a strong squad to Newquay,
six of whom formed part of last year's Middlesex Sevens
group. “In addition we also have two players making
their Sevens debuts for us, Peter Browne from the Falcons
and Gareth King of the Ospreys. “This tournament
will help preparations for our defence of the Middlesex
Sevens title.”
KooGa Wailers squad for Newquay Surf Sevens:
Peter Browne, Scott Riddell (captain), Aaron Myers,
Micky Young, Luke Fielden, Ollie Phillips, Tim Visser,
Ross Batty, Andy Foreman, Gareth King.

Krusaders join the invitation competition, Seru Rabeni
of Leicester and Fiji confirms that they will replace
Suzies Salon in the invitation comp. In a phone call
to Tournament director Andy Hawken Seru expressed his
delight at being asked to compete in the invitation
competition. Fresh from their win at the Bath Sevens,
Team manager Seru is looking forward attending the newquay
surf 7’s, his assistant England star Lewis Moody
is delighted.

Pirate FM Big Top weekend in Newquay on

and more. We have classics such as the Australian Pink
Floyd Show with its spectacular light show and and truly
